The Bromley Outing Club alpine race program is home to over 100 athletes each season who train and race at Bromley, southern Vermont, and even around the world. The BOC teams are coached by an incredible staff of U.S. Ski and Snowboard coaches, from age six through collegiate athletes. The Bromley Outing Club is proud to be a U.S. Ski and Snowboard Bronze Certified Podium Club.

Our coaches follow skiing and racing progression tailored to our club athletes here at Bromley, with a HUGE focus on FUN! The BOC is a member of the Vermont Alpine Racing Association (VARA), in the Southern Vermont Council (SVC). We host fun-focused introductory races for our own club members in the youngest groups (U8 & U10), as well as sanctioned races for our teams, inviting the Southern Vermont Council clubs to participate.

Our race programs operate for regular training on weekends from early December until late March each season. We also host two, one week training blocks (late December and mid-February) which are included in our regular program fees. We also look to host and/or connect our members with additional training opportunities such as camps, regional projects, and additional coaching experiences.

Daily Program Schedule:

  • 8:30 – Athletes meet coaches out front of BOC
  • 8:30 – 11/11:30 – Program Time can include, but not limited to: gate training, free skiing, drills, video analysis, tuning (weather dependent)
  • 11/11:30 – 12/12:30 – Lunch
  • 12/12:30 – 2/2:30 – Program Time (see above)
  • 2/2:30 – End of program time

The Bromley Outing Club takes great pride in its dedicated and skilled coaching staff.  It has been the goal of the BOC to assemble the most talented team in Southern Vermont and beyond.

Members of our coaching staff have some impressive professional backgrounds – from Olympic caliber participation and coaching to leadership in the industry.  They are all amazing role models and mentors to our program participants.   Athlete training sessions will be great educational and inspirational experiences for our young athletes. Our programs are skill development based and our mission is to instill a genuine appreciation of winter alpine sports that benefits our participants their whole life.

Coaches are generally available after practice to answer questions and may schedule periodic meetings with parents to review program content. Please refer any major comments or complaints to the Program Director.

To facilitate communication between the BOC administration and the parents, the Club is open Tuesday – Friday 9:00am – 4:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00-4:30.
